t's interesting to receive mails for everything that has changed but it would be handy if there was a page that kept this information and that you could incorporate as a widget on your front page.

Just like the sitemap, except you still can't use that as your menu or incorporate it on your front page.

By making the proposed changes users could get to see the changes straight from Google Sites, instead of having to go and check their mails.  In addition it would be a handy way to tell users what's new.

With message filtering based on the permissions your users have. And the ability to set how much information should be displayed before the "read more".
