The current way that Facebook displays the news from your friends, groups and pages is one huge list. Which might be reworked into personalisable news tabs. To which you can attribuate news items from ... friends status updates , friends likes , friends replies , friends accepting requests (friends, groups, etc.) , friends app auto messages , groups , pages and so on.
